Jodie's Birthday

Jodie Quirke had a birthday so we locked up the kids at home, grabbed the usual crew and headed out for dinner until midnight on Saturday (when everything closes for Sunday), then headed to Lyndon and Jodie’s for some pool and more festivities. With breathalysers now working in Tonga, we loaded everyone into Hannah’s Tarago and she took the role of designated driver.

A Play Date - Mosese and Clancy

Mosese, the youngest son of friends (Salesi and Rochelle) has become one of Clancy’s favoured mates. On Saturday he came over for a play and a swim, and then went with Clancy to his tennis lesson.

Clancy’s School Dance

Clancy’s School (ACTS) had a school dance. It’s only a little school but the staff make such an effort to make it a great experience for the kids.

Vava'u Trip

John went up to Vava’u for a work trip. It’s out of the peak season, but some lovely small resorts and sail charters worth visiting up here. Hopefully we'll all get to come up and swim with and see whales when they come through later in the year, one of the few places on the planet where this is possible.

One of our great friends from Cambodia was back in Australia with her kids at the same time we were and we caught up on the foreshore in Wiliamstown. We met when we lived in the same hotel in Cambodia and Clancy, Leon and Sophie became friends, then going to horse riding and the same school.

Mum and Dad’s 50th Anniversary

It was Mum and Dad’s 50^th Wedding Anniversary. We celebrated with the entire family at a restaurant on South bank in Melbourne, the first time we have all been together for a special event in quite some time.
