Clancy out and about 2

Swimming

Clancy out and about

Clancy has a new bike, learning to ride very quickly
and has now been out for three 1.5 km rides. Thankfully Opa fixed his bike after the first ride and I didn't have to run behind him any more. Clancy is also doing a week of intensive swim training at the Gisborne pool.

Swimming Carnival

Clancy's school had an intense term of swimming lessons, 3 time per weeks, finishing with this swim carnival. Two lessons were at the beach and one this small hotel pool. Clancy competed in the paddle board swim and the freestyle races.

Pangiamoto Day Trip

Anny and Clancy joined some of our friends for a day at Pangiamoto Island. While there, the younger girls gave the slightly older girls some traditional dance lessons.

Sporting Saturday

We had a busy Saturday with a 9km Bike Ride with Pasikala (Bicycle) Nuku’alofa, as part of the Cycle Tonga launch, led by the IUCN. We hadn’t thought about doing it until Friday but had a great ride with about 100 people at 7.30am. Clancy and his friend Mosese climbed a tree. At 2.30pm I joined the Nukualofa to Pangiamoto (Fear no Sharks) Island Swim (1.3km). There was a field of about 30 and I finished 10th with a time of 29:15. That’s me just crossing the finish line at the orange buoy.
